The details as to the Scopus registration and the current rating of CSE are given below:
“CIGRE Science and Engineering, ISSN:2426-1335”. The journal is active and indexed in Scopus.
The papers approved for publishing undergo rigorous reviewing by global experts selected on specific topics by the relevant Study Committee chairpersons. The reviews normally result in authors having to revise the papers and submit for a further review process. Should this be successful the paper is approved for publishing by the SC chairperson and Editor in Chief. Certain papers are further reviewed by Editorial Board if considered highly controversial or lack necessary scientific rigour.
Due to the high quality of papers presented at CIGRE events in Japan and Norway, we are pleased to include a selection of these papers in the October edition of CSE. These papers have been peer reviewed and then selected by global experts present at the events.
In the October edition the papers focus of specific specific issues relating to integration of renewables. This includes protection, inertia, transformer performance and multivendor operability. In addition, machine learning, becoming more important, is shared with a paper on load forecasting using machine language.
The summary of the papers are also published on social media platforms allowing immediate downloading or online reading on your device.
The papers published in CSE are mainly highly practical rather than purely academic or theoretical providing the latest findings and best practices on various topics relating to power transfer. This information is directly relevant to CIGRE members and stakeholders.
The submission process is simple as there is no strict template to follow. This allows for authors to be flexible in the layout to best suit the paper’s content. I would urge utility engineers, academics, manufacturers to seriously consider publishing in this prestigious journal. The rejection rate is fairly high due to the high quality required of the papers but authors can be assured of a fair and thorough review.
I would urge readers to reference articles published in CSE as these references are globally accepted.
