Seismic Qualification Test for 154kV Power Transformer In Accordance with Korea’s DS-0050 Standard

Earthquakes can significantly compromise the structural integrity of power facilities, leading to widespread power outages that severely impact industrial production, public services, and daily life. The largest earthquakes recorded in South Korea were the 2016 Gyeongju earthquake (Richter magnitude 5.8) and the 2017 Pohang earthquake (Richter magnitude 5.4). The latter is a critical instance where power facilities sustained damage from seismic activity at levels below the design threshold.
