CSG Promotes the Construction of New Type of Power Systems through Technology Innovation

The China Southern Power Grid (CSG) is one of the main power grid companies in China. It serves the Guangdong province, Guangxi province, Yunnan province, Guizhou province and Hainan province in southern China, as well as Hong Kong and Macau, with a power supply area of 1 million km2, supplying 272 million people. CSG has many power sources, such as hydro, coal, nuclear, gas, wind, solar, biomass, and storage. By March 2024, the energy installed capacity of CSG was 518 GW, and non-fossil energy accounted for about 63%, new energy (wind, solar and biomass) accounted for 29%.
