Empowering Tanzania’s Energy Future: Smart and Eco-Friendly T&D Equipment Workshop

On 12 December 2024, the UMEME Project (edUcation systeM for Electric access developMEnt in Tanzania), in collaboration with Prof. Santosh Annadurai from the University of Dar es Salaam’s (UDSM) College of Engineering and Technology (CoET), hosted a one-day workshop titled “Smart and Eco-Friendly Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Equipment.” The event, part of the CIGRE Africa Initiative, focused on equipping Tanzania’s energy professionals and students with insights into emerging trends and solutions for T&D systems and equipment.
