In the world of AEC infrastructure work, we are known for our science as engineers, programmers, designers, etc. This is so engrained that our AEC science world comes with its own language in the form of abbreviations, standards, and technical jargon — a language full of dialects unique to specific disciplines. I understand this quite well, as I have worn the hat of environmental scientist, GIS specialist, and soon to be electrical engineer. However, I think science is only half the picture.
