Unity 3.0 - Part 6: Beyond Calculative Thinking — Perpetual Ethical Cycle toward Unitive Singularity
While Ray Kurzweil's technological singularity promises exponential computational growth, power engineers who witnessed the Fukushima tragedy understand a deeper truth: the genuine singularity is not machines surpassing humans, but humans transcending the naive calculative thinking that nearly led to their destruction. This paper introduces the ARKP cycle—Awareness, Reflection, Kaizen, and Practice—as a perpetual ethical compass guiding power engineers toward conscious and continuous evolution. Drawing inspiration from Martin Heidegger's prophetic 1955 warning about the dangers of atomic energy and purely calculative thinking, we propose that the realization of a true 'Unitive Singularity' demands the harmonious integration of reflective consciousness with technological advancement. This integration transforms engineers from mere technical operators into enlightened guardians of civilizational wisdom, thus enabling humanity to achieve an ethically vibrant and unified, and sustainable future.
