CIGRE Medal 2026 Recipients
Every Session year, the "CIGRE Medal" is granted to maximum two members of CIGRE, in recognition of an oustanding contribution to the development of CIGRE (either administrative or technical achievement).
Michel AUGONNET
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the activities of the Association, as Chairman of the French National Committee from 2010 to 2020, as Vice-President Finance and Treasurer of the Association from 2016 to 2020, and as President of CIGRE from 2020 to 2024.
Nikolaos HATZIARGYRIOU
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the activities of the Association in Study Committee C6 (Active distribution systems and distributed energy resources) as Convener of several Working Group, as Chair of this Study Committee from 2008 to 2014, as a member of the Editorial Board of ELECTRA, as a members of CIGRE Science and Engineering Advisory Board, and as Chair of the Greek National Committee.
