CIGRE Honorary Members 2022
Every Session year the "Honorary Member" award is granted to maximum ten members who have proven participation in CIGRE technical activities in a leadership role of CIGRE, and for members whose service of CIGRE has been judged exceptional.
The CIGRE Honorary Members 2022 are:
Edhem BICAKCIC
Bosnia & Herzegovina
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the activities of the Association, as Chairman of the National Committee of Bosnia & Herzegovina since 2015 and as member of the CIGRE Administrative Council since 2016.
Ninel CUKALEVSKI
Serbia
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the activities of the Association, as convener of several Working Groups, Special Reporter and reviewer within Study Committee C2 "Power system operation and control". He also initiated the CIGRE spirit and practices towards the young professionals.
Joao Carlos de OLIVEIRA MELLO
Brazil
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the activities of the Association, as convener of Working Group C5 7.4 "Wholesale / Retail Electricity Markets interdependencies" as well as Special Reporter for Study Committee C5 "Electricity markets and regulation". He actively contributed in the publications of books issued by the Brazilian National Committee.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the activities of the Association, as Chairman of Study Committee C4 "Power system technical performance" from 2016 to 2022.
Abhay KUMAR
Sweden
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the activities of the Association, as member of the Administrative Council and of the Technical Council from 2014 to 2016. He actively contributed in Working Group B4.45 "Technological assessment of 800KV HVDC applications"
Alex LEVINZON
Israel
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to the activities of the Association, as Chairman of the Israeli National Committee that he implemented in 1994, as a member of the Administrative Council, and as an active member in Study Committees C4 "Power system technical performance", B2 "Overhead lines", C6 "Active distribution systems and distributed energy resources", and C5 "Electricity markets and regulation".

In recognition of her outstanding contribution to the activities of the Association, as Chair of Study Committee C6 "Active distribution systems and distributed energy resources" from 2017 to 2022.

In recognition of her outstanding contribution to the activities of the Association, as Chair of Study Committee D2 "Information systems and telecommunication" from 2016 to 2022.
